Our Clinical Director: Advancing Cannabis Care & Education

Nina Fergus, PharmD, MS, is a Doctor of Pharmacy, a registered Maryland pharmacist, and the Clinical Director for Curio Wellness and Far & Dotter dispensaries. Her work is rooted in evidence-based cannabis care, with a focus on educating patients, guiding thoughtful product selection, and integrating cannabinoid-based medicine safely and effectively into individualized wellness plans.

Nina combines her foundational pharmacy training with advanced graduate education, holding a Master of Science in Cannabis Science and Therapeutics from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, the nation’s first graduate program dedicated exclusively to medical cannabis. This dual clinical background allows her to bridge traditional pharmacology with cannabinoid science, providing a depth of insight that is both scientifically rigorous and highly practical.

With over two decades of experience as a pharmacist, Nina brings a strong clinical lens to cannabis care, specializing in medication therapy management, drug–cannabis interaction assessment, disease-state education, and patient-specific dosing strategies. She is particularly skilled at translating complex cannabinoid science into clear, approachable guidance for patients, dispensary teams, and the broader community.

Through her work at Far & Dotter, Nina is committed to advancing cannabis education, reducing stigma, and supporting patients in making informed, confident decisions on their path toward improved health and wellness.
